Particularly: “Maonan tu⁵nan⁴ ("to squeeze"). Tone 4 (categorized as C2, phonetic 24) in Maonan matches Vietnamese tone nặng (B2). Nong Zhuang has naenx (C2), but the meaning is along the line of "to urge". Compare tậu, mận for cases of Vietnamese B tones correspond to Tai C tones.”

Compare Maonan nan⁴ ("to press").
