West Mesa murder
Hello Rsrikanth05!
I corrected dates on the article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Mesa_murders , while the article had wrong years mentioned, according to the information police have given for public about the murder case. Soon after I had made the corrections, you edited my corrections and returned the wrong dates. Any reason for this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by JSaviola (talk • contribs) 17:52, 1 September 2015 (UTC)

Trojan tagline
You undid my change to the Trojan (brand) page. The tagline of Trojan brand condoms is real.good.sex. I am not vandalizing a page, I am correcting it.
See: https://www.trojancondoms.com/Resources/AboutUs.aspx
The "For her pleasure" refers to "for her pleasure" condoms which are a specific product line of Trojan.
See: https://www.trojancondoms.com/Product/her-pleasure-lubricated-condoms.aspx
I understand I am a novice at editing but I am just trying to make a legitimate correction. — Preceding unsigned comment added by PewterPenguin (talk • contribs) 02:13, 6 September 2015 (UTC)
- @PewterPenguin: Nowhere on the page does it mention that it is the tagline. It is jut mentioned there. Unless explicitly mentioned, it can't be treated as a valid source. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 10:01, 6 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Rsrikanth05: there is a mention of the use of it as a tagline here:
https://www.adweek.com/adfreak/trojans-new-ads-are-subtle-playful-and-even-safe-kids-155251
(Last paragraph of the article)
Trojan themselves never explicitly claim a tagline, though they do use it in the maner a tagline by definition is used. The other 2 phrases they use as a tagline are "pleasure of protection" (all lowercase, as seen on most Trojan brand Twitter posts) and "Trojan. Pleasure you want. Protection you trust." Which seems to be the tagline from a previous advertising campaign around 2010.
So the modern tagline should either be "real.good.sex." or "pleasure of protection". The prior is still in use on the trojan website and the latter is constantly used by Trojan on their Twitter page.
While there is no first hand source of Trojan explicitly claiming their tagline, Trojan does use the two phrases above in the way a company would use a tagline. And while a man may not explicitly claim what is in his hand is a hammer, when he starts swinging it at nails, it is safe to assume that is what it is.
If the requirement is Trojan explicitly saying publicly "My tagline is..." for something to be a credible source then the tagline section on the Trojan brand page should be removed, along with the tagline on 95% of company Wikipedia pages, as the business/advertising term "tagline" really is only used internally. --PewterPenguin (talk)
- If you had the adweek source, you should have inserted it in the first place. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 17:23, 6 September 2015 (UTC)

WikiProject Good Articles's 2015 GA Cup - Round 3
Greetings, all! We hope that everyone had a nice summer. Saturday saw the end of Round 2. Things went relatively smoothly this month. The top 2 from 4 pools, plus the top participant (the wildcard, or "9th place") of all remaining competitors, moved onto Round 3. We had one withdrawal early in Round 2, so he was replaced by the next-highest scorer from Round 1. Round 2's highest scorer was Pool D's Tomandjerry211, who earned an impressive 366 points; he also reviewed the most articles (19). Close behind was Zwerg Nase, also in Pool D, at 297 points and 16 articles. The wildcard slot went to Good888. Congrats to all! Round 3 will have 9 competitors in 3 pools. The key to moving forward was reviewing articles with the longest nomination dates, as it has been in every round up to now. For example, 2 competitors only needed to review 2 articles each to win in their pools, and each article were either from the pink nomination box (20 points) or had languished in the queue for over 5 months (18 points). The GA Cup continues to be a success in many ways, even with fewer competitors this time. For some reason, the competitors in the 2015 GA Cup have reviewed fewer articles in Round 2, which has made the judges scratch their head in confusion. We've speculated many reasons for that: the summer months and vacations, our competitors are saving their strength for the final rounds, or they all live in the Pacific Northwest and the heavy wildfire smoke has affected their thinking. Whatever the reason, Round 2 competitors reviewed almost 100 articles, which is a significant impact in the task of reviewing articles for GA status. We've considered that the lower participation this competition is due to timing, so we intend to discuss the best time frame for future GA Cups. For Round 3, participants have been placed randomly in 3 pools of 3 contestants each; the top editor in each pool will progress, as well as the top 2 of all remaining users. Round 3 will start on September 1 at 0:00:01 UTC and end on September 28 at 23:59:59 UTC. Information about Round 3 and the pools can be found here. Good luck to the remaining contestants, and have fun! Cheers from Figureskatingfan, 3family6 and Jaguar, and MrWooHoo. To subscribe or unsubscribe to future GA Cup newsletter, please add or remove your name to our mailing list. If you are a participant still competing, you will be on the mailing list no matter what as this is the easiest way to communicate between all participants.

Some changes to article titles
Hi, I was wondering if you could help me. I was moving Eastern Arabic numerals to Arabic-Indic numerals as per WP:COMMONNAME but some seem to not have liked it for other reasons. Alban Gerhardt
Hi Rsrikanth05, I am trying to update the wikipedia entry for myself (Alban Gerhardt) and you are somehow switching it back to a slightly wrong and very incomplete version. I want it to read my newest biography, not some quotes from some newspaper article where the journalist misunderstood me. I have never "supported" the Green Party, have voted for them a couple of times, but not in recent years. Also I was not artist in residence in Oregon from 2002 until 2015 but from 2012-2015, and lots of things are missing. My first teacher was Marion Vetter, not Götz Teutsch, whom I am usually not mentioning because I don't feel that I have learnt much from him. I would be very grateful if you could stop reversing my changes! Thank you and best wishes, Alban Gerhart — Preceding unsigned comment added by Albancello (talk • contribs) 15:23, 15 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Albancello:. Hi, I undid your edits because they are unsourced. Please note that Wikipedia is not a platform for you to showcase yourself. Your edits show that you have a conflict of interest. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 15:36, 15 September 2015 (UTC)
@Rsrikanth05:. Thank you, I understand, but at the same time I am the only one who knows what is true. To source some articles in a wrong way is not really helpful. I for example never said that my cello belonged to Mussolini - the person who sold it to me said it, but I have very strong doubts and absolutely no prove that it really belonged to Mussolini. Seeing it there on Wikipedia makes it almost a fact. What can I do about these things? I did mention that story in an article, but this is not a fact, it's nothing more than a rumor, and I did mention it like one. My biography is not really a showcase but just a selection of parts of my professional life. To mention my concert and a rather bad review from a mediocre journalist from 22 years ago is not really representative nor any "truth", just a personal opinion... Thanks for your help, best wishes --albancello
- @Albancello: If you feel there are genuine issues with the article, please discus them on Talk:Alban Gerhardt. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 17:37, 15 September 2015 (UTC)

Stop reverting my edits
Can you please read what I'm doing before reverting. It was discussed on Template talk:Singlechart, a new template has been made for the South Africa's chart for better access. All I'm doing is replacing the citations with the template! Why are you reverting this and how is this unconstructive!? 178.239.82.6 (talk) 06:24, 17 September 2015 (UTC)
- Please learn to be civil. Abusive edit summaries will get you nowhere and will just antagonise others. If you were polite, I wouldn't have reverted you. Also, please explain your edits in the edit summary rather than why the fuck are you reverting. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 06:26, 17 September 2015 (UTC)
It would help if you took the time to see what change was being made. Think before you revert. 178.239.82.6 (talk) 06:30, 17 September 2015 (UTC)
- It would also help if you explained. For an uninvolved party like me, if a ref is being removed, the next step is to undo. -_Rsrikanth05 (talk) 06:33, 17 September 2015 (UTC)
You are blind reverting and are in the wrong. You should apologize! I'm trying to help Wikipedia and then you go and blind revert my edits on Summer (Calvin Harris song), I Need Your Love (Calvin Harris song), Burn (Ellie Goulding song) which were constructive and then warn me for unconstructive editing even after I explained! The citation removed was replaced with a template which automatically generates the same citation! How hard is that for you to understand? I can't believe someone can be so blind and rude to someone actually making a positive contribution to this place... 178.239.82.157 (talk) 06:41, 17 September 2015 (UTC)
- I'm being rude? You're the one who used an abusive edit summary here. I'm being super polite here. But yeah, have it your way. I don't care. I'm not going bother editing articles on songs anymore. You don't need to respond to this. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 06:43, 17 September 2015 (UTC)

Make article.
My link has its own wikipedia entry. It is obviously encyclopedia worthy. I referenced make in my college papers and is an authority on DYI projects which relate to the article.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Make_(magazine) --RaymondLull.
- Nowheree on the article does it specify that the clock was purchased. Also, existence of an Wikipedia article doesn't mean it is worthy of use as a source. Please read WP:SYNTH. It seems like the only reason the link was added was to advertise for Make. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 10:22, 18 September 2015 (UTC)
- Make has already been used as a source a multitude of times within wikipedia on popular topics such as Arduino, Super Nintendo, amongst others. It is a reliable news source as per definition of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Identifying_reliable_sources
- The article does specify that the clock was purchased. "more so as simply the guts of a standard digital alarm clock" --RaymondLull
- Just because it has been used as a source, doesn't mean it can be used over and over again. Right now, it is the only source that makes such a claim. Please discuss on the article talk page as it is a major controversial change. Gain consensus before adding it. Also, please sign your posts with ~~~~ --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 10:39, 18 September 2015 (UTC)
- 1. It gives credence to the fact that Makezine is a recognized reliable source within wikipedia. 2. I did not believe it was a controversial change nor do I believe I require multiple sources to make a claim for a reliable news source. Since your complaint was the nature of the citation. I changed it to a "better citation" tag and took the discussion to talk. RaymondLull (talk) 11:13, 18 September 2015 (UTC)

Ahmed Mohammed
Noticed you rolled back my edit on Ahmed_Mohamed_(student) regarding the city of Irving of in which the article said: "Irving, Texas reportedly has had a long history of Islamophobia and racial profiling." That statement was linked to https://mic.com/articles/125404/texas-city-where-ahmed-mohamed-was-arrested-has-a-long-disturbing-history-of-islamophobia
Said article is full of conjecture and memes but offers no real substance to the issues of Irving, Texas. Not really factual and more of an opinion piece and POV biased. So why did you revert it?
Heyyouoverthere (talk) 21:55, 19 September 2015 (UTC)
- If you read the statement which the source was backing up, it said reportedly. If you feel there are errors, please discuss. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 22:27, 19 September 2015 (UTC)
The article itself offers no substance of Islamophobia and racial profiling. Based on what the author wrote, they compiled info in order to make the case and obvious they did not partake in Irving city council meetings at the time and more than likely does not live in Irving. And I take it you do not either. Heyyouoverthere (talk) 22:39, 19 September 2015 (UTC)
- Are you trying to imply that I'm not qualified to edit the article because I don't lie in Irving? --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 22:40, 19 September 2015 (UTC)
- A few questions:
Do you live in Irving?
Do you live in the DFW area?
Do you live in the United States?
Do you feel you are qualified to edit the article based on what is reported?
Do you feel you will be able to continue to edit the article 30 days-6 months from now when an update happens?
Will you be able to update the article when Channel 5 does the update during a live segment at the State Fair and the tie-in to the science fair exhibit when people display items similar to the clock? State Fair opens in about 5 days.
Will you be able to update the article when additional information comes out later on. Not necessarily reported on in international news but locally, such as in the local community paper.
Will you be able to pop out your front door, pick up said community paper that was tossed on your front lawn, read the new story and update the article?
For the above questions a simple Yes or No is all that is required.
The reason that I ask is if an event, for example a massive explosion at a chemical plant, were to happen in India and made international news do you think someone outside of India is best to edit an article on it? Sure articles would be written and and headlines splashed across websites and someone could summarize the info but the actual content, the nitty gritty might be missed.
Would they be in the best position to update it later on? Such as 1-2 months later on that chemical plant has been rebuilt and the total number of killed and injured is finally tallied. Would that be reported in international news? Perhaps. Would it garner the same attention as when it first happened? Probably not. Would someone not from that area even hear about it? More than likely not.

I am being civil. I did not cuss. I did not call you names. I asked simple, clear cut questions. Heyyouoverthere (talk) 21:45, 20 September 2015 (UTC)

- (talk page stalker) If Rsrikanth05 is making a BLP claim of being Omnipresent, he is omnipresent. If you disagree, the onus is on you to bring in WP:RS that contract it. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 04:03, 24 September 2015 (UTC)
Repeatedly pinging me on Talk:Ahmed Mohamed clock incident
Not sure if this would count as WP:CANVASSing, but it's kind of annoying. The article is on my watchlist, I'm giving it as much attention as I feel like giving it. If somebody makes an unreasonable edit and your talk comment about it gets no response after a while (either from the disagreeing editor, or a third party), go ahead and revert "per talk". --McGeddon (talk) 12:41, 24 September 2015 (UTC)
- Hi @McGeddon: I am extremely extremely sorry about that. I won't do it again. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 12:51, 24 September 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks. The main problem is that it can give the impression that there's a little tag-team WP:CABAL who'll back each other up to keep content they don't like out of a particular article, which doesn't look great from the outside. You should be able to rely on passing editors responding to questions or bad edits. --McGeddon (talk) 13:02, 24 September 2015 (UTC)
- Fair enough. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 13:03, 24 September 2015 (UTC)
