This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Pound Gap (of Pine Mountain), and it appears to include a substantial copy of https://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~dmohn/poundgap.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Pound Gap (of Pine Mountain) has been reverted, as it appears to have removed content from the page without explanation. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. I'm sorry you were cited for removing the content, sometimes people are a little jumpy about unexplained deletions around here. I saw that you cited the source, which is good, and the timeline is factual information, but the reason that the bot tagged it as a copyright problem is because you simply copied the text. I have removed the rest of the content except for a short stub at the top which I rewrote some. Even when you cite your sources for facts you can't use their words, you have to take that information and write it in your own words. Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing also has some good advice regarding rewriting material. VernoWhitney (talk) 20:22, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation and reply

Eastern Mountain Coal Fields task force
An invitation to join us!
You're invited to be a part of the Eastern Mountain Coal Fields task force, an attempt to better organize information in articles related to Eastern Kentucky Coal Field region of Kentucky. To accept this invitation, click here!

I've also noticed your good work on Pound Gap and other articles related to Kentucky's Eastern Mountain Coal Fields region and was wondering if you would like to join the task force? If you would like to join, just click on the link above and add your name to the list of participants. There are no obligations and you can edit EMCF articles at your leisure.

Also, I completely understand what it is like to be a new user. After being a Wikipedian for over a year, I still have some difficulty myself on certain things (especially cite errors). I can mis-type or mis-space one thing and it takes me forever to figure out what I've done wrong!

If you still want to upload those pictures and still need help, here is a summary of how to do so:

  • Go to Wikimedia Commons
  • On the left side of the page, click on the link that says "upload file"
  • Once on the upload file page, click on the appropriate link
  • Once you reach the upload page, click the browse button to select the image you have saved in your pictures (or other place) on your computer.
  • After selecting the picture of your choice, click open and continue filling out the upload form.

Also if you click "preview" at the bottom of the page, the image itself will not be shown, it will just be the information - you have done nothing wrong. The only reason why I say this is because the first time I previewed an image it did this and I thought I had made a mistake. I hope this helped you and if you ever have any more questions, feel free to ask and I will try my best to give you an answer. J654567 (talk) 17:25, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is just to tell you that, usually, articles about primary schools are not accepted. A redirect to the school district is more appropriate, unless you can show that the school meets our general notability guideline, that is, it is the subject of multiple non-trivial third-party mentions in reliable sources. -- Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 16:31, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
