Draftifications

[edit]

Hello, Gratefulking, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Thank you so much for your efforts in patrolling the new page feed — it’s always great to see new contributors getting involved. I did, however, have some concerns about your recent draftification of the accepted AfC submission Mary-Rose Papandrea, an academic who seems to meet notability criteria #5 of WP:NPROF - distinguished professorships, as these are cited in the article.

As a newer editor with only 128 edits, there are many valuable ways you can contribute, such as reverting vandalism (you can explore WP:CVUA if that interests you) or working on copyediting. That said, patrolling the new pages feed can be a bit tricky, and it may be helpful to gain more experience with Wikipedia’s notability guidelines and speedy deletion criteria before continuing with this particular task.

Since you mentioned on your user page that you’re interested in patrolling new pages, I’d recommend checking out WP:NPPSCHOOL to help you become more familiar with the process. You should also wait until you've made more edits and apply for the patroller right at WP:PERM before diving back in.

I don’t mean to discourage you — in fact, I’m not a new page patroller myself yet! With a bit more experience, I’m sure you’ll be ready to get involved in this area again. In the meantime, participating in some articles for deletion discussions is a great way to get a better understanding of our criteria. And if you’re interested in expanding your contributions, you could also consider applying to review articles at articles for creation once you’ve built up a track record at AfD.

Thanks again for your contributions, and I hope you continue to enjoy editing! MolecularPilot 🧪️✈️ 23:14, 28 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
