Akkol has a total population of 8,823 peoples, out of which male population is 4,407 while female population is 4,416. Literacy rate of the village is 67.78 percentage.[1]

Administration

According to the Indian constitution and the Panchayati Raj Act, Hebbal village is governed by a Sarpanch (Head of Village), who is elected as the representative of the village. As under Chikkodi Lok Sabha constituency, it is under Bharatiya Janata Party with constituency head Annasaheb Jolle[2]
