Whydah Gally

edit

Thanks also for the excellent suggestions you left on the talk page of the Whydah Gally article. When I recently did a major re-write of that article, I had come across that court case, and made a note to include a section on the legal case in my next pass – so your note was very timely! Do you by chance have access (or links) to electronic versions of any of the references which you provided? Or better yet, you are more than welcome to edit the article yourself, if you like? Judging from the quality of your comments, I suspect you'd add a great perspective to the article. Grollτech (talk) 00:24, 12 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Excellent, glad to have you aboard! I just saw that you're a researcher for the Peabody Essex Museum. To me, research is a hobby that I love... how nice it must be to actually get paid to do it!
I'm jealous!  ;)   Grollτech (talk) 00:54, 12 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

PEM article

edit

In your interview you note that you don't edit the PEM article. But there is nothing stopping you from suggesting links and reliable sources on the talk page, or even suggesting text for another unconflicted editor to use.... -- Ssilvers (talk) 14:40, 2 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the tip! I'm passing that along to other PEM staff! Erodley (talk) 19:54, 3 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Native art contributions

edit

Hi Erodley, thanks so much for your new articles about Rick Rivet and Tammy Garcia. I've added artist infoboxes, categories, and WikiProjects to them and will link them in other appropriate articles. Regarding the Mateo Romero image on WikiMedia Commons, you can make an argument for fair use of a non-free copyrighted image at a low-resolution. Here's information about Wikimedia policies on artwork. Let me know if you need any assistance with future Native art Wikipedia articles. You might consider contributing to the Visual arts by indigenous peoples of the Americas article. Cheers, -Uyvsdi (talk) 18:05, 4 May 2014 (UTC)UyvsdiReply

Adrianne Wadewitz edit-a-thons in Southern New England

As you may have already heard, the Wikipedia community lost an invaluable member of the community last month. Adrianne Wadewitz was a feminist scholar of 18th-Century British literature, and a prolific editor of the site. As part of a worldwide series of tributes, New England Wikimedians, in conjunction with local institutions of higher learning, have created three edit-a-thons that will be occurring in May and June. The events are as follows:

We hope that you will be able to join us, whether you are an experienced editor or are using Wikipedia for the first time.

Your draft article, Draft:Virginia Cowles

edit

Hello, Erodley. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Virginia Cowles".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Draft:Virginia Cowles}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, and click "Save page". An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 22:00, 16 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
