About Me
editMy name is Casey and I am eighteen years old. I am a freshman at a university in Georgia and I am a biology major. I grew up in the North Georgia Mountains with my mother, father, older brother, and three goofy dogs. I graduated from high school as a honor graduate with a 4.0 GPA. I was involved in the marching and concert band, Interact, BETA, FCA, prom committee, and the Math Honor Society in high school. I am also a Georgia Hope Scholar and a recipient of the Albert E. Harrison Foundation Scholarship for academic excellence. My goals in life are to graduate from this university with a major in Biology and enroll in Dental Hygiene school. I hope to one day become a Dental Hygienist and attain a masters in Dental Hygiene Education. I hope to marry the man of my prayers and move back to the North Georgia Mountains to raise a family. My hobbies include playing clarinet, reading magazines, watching movies, socializing with friends, eating amazing food, and sunning on the beach. I also enjoy spending time with my family and my puppy dogs.

How I Choose to Communicate with the World
editI speak, read, and write in American English. I can spit out a few (less desirable) Spanish and French phrases thanks to the artist Ricky Martin and Lady Marmalade's wonderful song lyrics.

My Wiki Contributions
editI created the Gilmer High School article. I made this article for my college composition course. I have fought for my articles neutrality on the Gilmer High School discussion page. I will continue working to improve my article. Please feel free to give me some kind and helpful advice on how to make my article better on the Gilmer High School discussion page. I also made contributions to articles titled Carters Lake and Ellijay, Georgia and minor edits to Christina Rossetti, Homeworld 2, and The Craft.
Technology is NOT my Forte
editI am in no way a technology master. I know Microsoft Word 2007, Excel, and Adobe Photoshop enough to get around. I am new to the Wikipedia world and it's coding. So far I know how to insert a reference, create a hyper link, and make a title. I am slowly but surely learning the ways of Wikipedia coding thanks to my fellow classmates and my college composition professor.
Wikipedia and Me
editI use Wikipedia for quick summations of my favorite celebrities and new movies . I believe Wikipedia is a great place to obtain quick and easy information on any subject. Although, I don't consider Wikipedia to be the most appropriate place to find information for more formal research writings. Most of my high school and college professors do not tolerate the use of Wikipedia for any of their assignments. Their main reason is Wikipedia articles can be written by anyone. You do not need a college education to write for Wikipedia and anyone can edit pages. Teachers, professors, and I find those facts to be why Wikipedia is not for serious research purposes.
A Few of my Most Favorite Things
editSome Entertaining movies:
• Slumdog Millionaire • Boondock Saints • About a Boy • Juno • West Side Story • Moonstruck
Some Good Books
• The Bible • Izzy Willy Nilly • Night • Ethan Frome • The Boy in the Striped Pajamas • The Return of the Native • Of Mice and Men • The Twilight Series • The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants Series
My most favorite quote "Still sometimes we have to see for ourselves. We have to make our own mistakes. We have to learn our own lessons. We have to sweep today's possibility under tomorrow's rug until we can't anymore, until we finally understand for ourselves... That knowing is better than wondering, that waking is better than sleeping. And that even the biggest failure, even the worst most intractable mistake beats the HELL out of never trying!” Grey’s Anatomy
fan-3 | This user wholeheartedly believes that Grey's Anatomy is the greatest television program in the history of the world and parts beyond. |
