Genre additions

edit

Allmusic refers to the album as "mod pop" and "psychedelic pop" in their review of the record. As such it would be a good idea idea to add a tag like "psychedelic pop" or "power pop" to the genres of the record on its page. It also seems the genre "rock" is repetitive as "hard rock", "psychedelic rock," and "progressive rock" already appear, specifying the types of rock to which the album belongs. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.105.44.63 (talk) 20:06, 1 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Track Records jingle

edit

"The music in the locked groove is an instrumental version of what was originally intended to be a vocal jingle for the Who's UK label Track Records."

Except that, no, it's not. It's obviously a vocal track, unless synthesizers existed at that time that had the ability replicate human voices, and the Who had access to one. Has the person who wrote this ever listened to the track? 68.185.36.34 (talk) 07:01, 21 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

JAGUAR

edit

Isn't the song written by Pete Townshend? https://www.discogs.com/de/Who-The-Who-Sell-Out/release/3769427 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.40.127.206 (talk) 18:32, 2 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Additional Personel

Should Speedy Keen be listed in the additional personal section? He's not part of the who, and he did lead vocals (with Daltrey) on "Armenia". It makes sense to me, and I see no reason for his exclusion 66.203.18.56 (talk) 12:36, 24 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Many of the tracks feature brass instruments. Were these played by Entwistle, Daltrey, and Moon as they did for "Cobwebs and Strange" on the previous album? Or were they studio musicians? 161.107.18.136 (talk) 21:41, 7 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Silas Stingy

edit

Another minor change, Daltrey sings a short line right before the chorus, so lead vocals should be credited to "Entwistle, Daltrey (pre-chorus)" or something like that. 66.203.18.56 (talk) 16:56, 27 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
