editI think I remember from The Complete Peerage that the eldest sons of the Dukes of Bolton were styled "Lord St John" and not by their fathers' higher titles. Can anyone with access confirm this? Opera hat (talk) 14:34, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

KCB - anachronism?
editI notice he is styled KCB - although it was not until the next century that the Order of the Bath was divided into classes (Knight Grand Cross or GCB, Knight Commander or KCB and Companion or CB) - ought plain KB be the correct designation for a man in his time?Cloptonson (talk) 21:07, 22 December 2013 (UTC)
