The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 is a series of Android-based tablets developed and marketed by Samsung Electronics. Unveiled at Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event on July 26, 2023, in Seoul, South Korea, they serve as the successor to the Galaxy Tab S8 series.[4][5][6][7][8] The tablet's announcement, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Watch 6, marked the first Galaxy Unpacked to be held in Samsung's home country of South Korea. The tablets were released on August 11, 2023.

On October 3, 2023, Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ [9] with notable differences being using LCD screens of lower resolutions and refresh rate instead of AMOLED, a mid-range Exynos 1380 chipset instead of a high-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, two speakers instead of four, a slower USB port without Displayport (no external monitor), Wifi 6 (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz) instead of Wifi 6E (6 GHz support), a different camera setup, and having fingerprint scanner on the power button instead of under the display.

The Galaxy Tab S9 features an 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 2560x1600 pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, paired with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. The tablet has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 12-megapixel front camera. It is powered by an 8400mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging.

The Galaxy Tab S9 runs on Android 13 with Samsung's One UI 5.1.1 user interface. However, it has since been upgraded to Android 14 with One UI 6.0.0. It is available in two colors: Graphite and Beige.

The Galaxy Tab S9+ features a 12.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 1752x2800 pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage. The tablet has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 12-megapixel front camera. It is powered by a 10090mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging.

The Galaxy Tab S9+ was initially launched with Android 13 and One UI 5.1.1. However, it has since been upgraded to Android 14 with One UI 6.0.0. It is available in two colors: Graphite and Beige.
