The shield saw is a versatile new weapon and defensive implement which occurs in Doom: The Dark Ages. Held in the Doom Slayer's left hand, it has been shown to possess multiple functions, including being thrown like a boomerang to inflict heavy damage on enemies, being used to block incoming enemy projectiles and melee attacks, and being employed as a ram during dashes.
