Who is in charge of Rarible API development

Rarible API is governed by the community of $RARI token holders, who can exercise their voting rights through robust on-chain governance mechanisms at RARI DAO. The community is in charge of approving budget, incentive programs and allocating grants in the ecosystem.

As an independent organization, RARI DAO is also on the path to adopt full ownership of the Rarible API, which will entail full decision making in the matters of Protocol development. In the interim, RARI Foundation serves the vision of the community by administering DAO proposals.

Security and fairness of the governance process is ensured by Security Council – a DAO-appointed 3-member multi-sig that has the ability to perform urgent upgrades, minor, routine maintenance to the Rarible API, and stopping DAO hack attempts.
