Bot with Yes | No buttons
Expecting a chatbot conversation to go exactly as expected is similar to meeting a stranger and anticipating how the conversation will go. Simply put, it's virtually impossible to predict chatbot user activity. So it's sometimes better to create a bot with a Yes or No button and avoid unnecessary dialogue that doesn't help the user navigate to what they're looking for. This increases the likelihood of user error and misuse.
To help prevent user error, the chat bot can be created with the label ‘Yes' and ‘No' buttons and messages customised to ‘Yes, I'm an existing customer' and ‘No, I'm new.' The same is shown in the example below.
