On 9th August 2014, during the early morning meditation, the original lampshade in the main Park Sanctuary fell down and broke at 6.45 am. Those present at the time reflected later on the event, noting that when the lampshade broke, no one was hurt, and although the candle on the table below was knocked over, it didn’t go out. We felt that there was much grace in an event which could have been traumatic. What then to do with the lampshade?

As I happened to be there when the lampshade fell, I suggested we transform the shards into glass angels. With the agreement of the group, I organised a workshop in September. I would like to thank Jill Denton, Nara Pais, Yuko Sato and Alex Page for making some of the glass angels in this panel.

Jill and I then created this panel together. Jill had the vision that the three central angels are the three founders of Findhorn. I wanted to bring some of the deva presences through.

I would like to dedicate this glass window to the angelic presences blessing Findhorn Community.
