Collapse all
|I am running as a Libertarian for Idaho congressional district 2 to assist in changing the dangerous trajectory of this country. We are clearly on a path to moral and financial bankruptcy. If we do not course correct, and quickly, our children’s and grandchildren’s futures and quality of life are at great risk. The Republican and Democrat duopoly, controlled opposition, with their ballooning government budgets, tax and spend recklessness, limitless money printing, run-away inflation, massive indebtedness, crony capitalism, and forever offensive wars are threatening this once great nation. Freedom of speech, freedom of self-defense, freedom of privacy, economic freedom, and personal liberty are all under attack and at great risk.
- America must end the forever wars, nation building, and avoid entangling alliances. Our military should only be used for strong national defense.
- We must get back to sound money, true free market capitalism, and a complete separation of the state from money and banking.
- All gun control is unconstitutional. I am a 2nd Amendment advocate. All people have the right to self-defense.
I fully support freedom of speech, and oppose all government censorship, regulation, or control of communications.
Congressman Ron Paul. His knowledge, honesty and integrity were unquestionable.
Anything by Ron Paul and Murray Rothbard.
Honesty and integrity.
Honesty, problem solving ability, logical thinking, and integrity.
Protecting our natural rights, our right to self-ownership, private property rights, supporting the non-aggression principle, supporting smaller government & political decentralization, and sound economics.
He spoke up and did something, not when it was easy, but when it was hard.
Nixon removing the US from the gold standard.
I worked my way through college doing auto body & paint, and my first job out of college was as an engineer in the semiconductor industry.
Lord of the Rings.
It has the ability & obligation to defend the constitution & bill of rights, and constrain the executive branch. Sadly, it has failed at both. Congress must get back to its core charter, and bring back all powers relinquished to other agencies, bringing these back to congress as defined by the constitution.
Private and corporate experience is best.
Two major challenges must be immediately addresses. - The US offensive and forever wars must stop. We need to close all overseas bases, stop nation building and policing the world, and we should exit all entangling alliances. We should only support and fund a strong national defense.
- Crushing US debt, and fiscal and monetary irresponsibility threatens the future of this great nation and its citizens. We need sound money, begin reducing the cost & size of government, get money out of politics, and end the federal reserve banking cartel.
I support term limits. However, lobbyists and donors have completely infiltrated our elected officials and governing process. The majority of politicians make massive personal profit from this process. Term limits will only accelerate this process, as crooked politicians rush to get as much profit from the shorter time they have in office. We need to take money out of politics, and frankly out of the government's hands.
Congressman Ron Paul.
There are certainly varying opinions; and reasonable principles & arguments from both sides, but any compromise must keep to our core principles as stated above.
I would insist on fiscal and monetary responsibility. All foreign aid and funding of foreign wars must stop, government size & cost drastically reduced, taxes drastically reduced, the federal reserve banking cartel ended, and all executive orders allowing the executive branch to bypass congress, must end.
All political corruption and profiteering from political positions should be thoroughly investigated, with immediate punishment & expulsion for violations. Legal loop holes allowing politicians to become rich from their political positions should be stopped. Stock insider trading for politicians should not be allowed.
Unanimously endorsed by the Libertarian Party of Idaho.
The government and government officials should be 100% transparent and accountable to Americans for their economic and fiscal decisions & voting record.
