What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
“ | Investing in public schools and making college more accessible. Expanding access to affordable health care. Fixing our ailing roads and bridges.[13][14] | ” |
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about? Why?
“ | Ensuring fair elections. We need to end the practice of politicians picking their voters. We must have independently drawn district lines that keep politicians accountable. There must also be an end to untraceable “dark money” being spent in politics, and work to make sure that politicians are not beholden to special interests or rich donors, but instead work to serve the people.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many[14]

Job creation & Michigan’s Economic Recovery
- Excerpt: "Investing in education, ensuring that we have a skilled, dedicated work force motivating employers to seek out and retain Michigan workers for decades to come."
Education
- Excerpt: "As a 23-year resident of Kalamazoo, I’ve seen the importance of good solid education and what impact programs like the Kalamazoo Promise can have on communities. In my time in Lansing, I have worked to expand the positive impact of education. The rest of Michigan must embrace educating our future generations with the same dedication as Kalamazoo."
Constituent Service
- Excerpt: "The State Representative for the 60th District has maintained a local, nonpartisan District Service Office (DSO) in downtown Kalamazoo for many decades. I will strongly continue this practice as part of my commitment to the constituents of the 60th District."

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
