The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 27, 2015.[1] No Democratic candidates filed for election. Incumbent Manly Barton was unopposed in the Republican primary. Joshua Hardy (L) ran as a minor-party candidate. Barton defeated Hardy in the general election.
