Henry Bramwell (1919-present) is a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He joined the court in 1974 after an appoint from Gerald Ford. At the time of appointment, he was a judge for the Civil Court of the City of New York. He assumed senior status on October 1, 1987 and served until his death on May 28, 2010.[1]

Judicial nominations and appointments

Eastern District of New York

Bramwell was nominated by President Gerald Ford on December 11, 1974, to a seat vacated by John Bartels; he was confirmed by the Senate on December 20, 1974, and received commission six days later. Bramwell was succeeded in this position by Arthur Spatt. He assumed senior status on October 1, 1987 and served until his death on May 28, 2010.[1]
