Gregg Hart
Gregg Hart (Democratic Party) is a member of the California State Assembly, representing District 37. He assumed office on December 5, 2022. His current term ends on December 2, 2024.
Hart (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the California State Assembly to represent District 37. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Gregg Hart lives in Santa Barbara, California. Hart graduated from San Marcos Senior High School in 1977. Hart attended Santa Barbara City College and earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 1984.[1] His career experience includes working as a legislative assistant for California Assemblymember Jack O’Connell (D) and as manager and later deputy executive director of the Santa Barbara County Association of Government’s (SBCAG) Traffic Solutions program. Hart also owned and operated Transitions Preschool in Santa Barbara for 20 years. Hart was elected to four terms on the Santa Barbara City Council in 1995. In 2018, he was elected to the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors.[2]
