The story of Ash Echoes

The history of Ash Echoes begins on April 1, 1116, in the Senlo calendar. At 13:46 that day, a crack forms over the northern district of Hailin City. Several worlds are connected through this rift, and crystals called Echomancer are formed, emanating a mysterious energy. In Ash Echoes, you play the Director of S.E.E.D. (Scientific Electronics Experiment and Development). You'll travel to different realms and collaborate with other fighters to tackle the threats arising from the rift.

Control multiple characters

When you start Ash Echoes, you can choose your character's gender and give them a name. The game then provides tutorials to help you learn the mechanics of turn-based combat. To move around the setting, simply click on the part you want to go to. Available characters include Mo Hongxiu, Longqing, Ivana, Lorelle, Cyros, and Hassel. All characters are voiced in Japanese, but the dialog is translated into several languages, including English.

Stats, classes and elements

Each character has five base stats: Attack, Mastery, Defense, Vitality, and Terminal. All are important in combat. Sometimes, for example, you'll need more mastery for the final attack to do more damage or vitality for your characters to have more health.

As for classes, there are seven different classes: Bulwark, Vanguard, Striker, Skirmisher, Ranger, Tactician, and Support. Each one has useful abilities in combat, such as greater mobility in the battle zone or the ability to perform an accurate attack.

Finally, the elements you can use in combat can be combined to obtain temporary boosters, such as generating areas where you can inflict more damage on enemies. The elements are Fire, Lightning, Water, Ice, Wind, Corrosion, and Physical.

Each character has special attacks, and before executing them, you can choose the direction of the attack.
