Kalafina was a Japanese band formed by composer Kajiura Yuki to mainly perform theme songs for the anime Kara no Kyoukai. The band debuted in January 2008 with two original members from Kajiura Yuki's FictionJunction project, Ootaki Wakana and Kubota Keiko (not confirmed until the first Dream Port 2008 concert held on 29 April 2008). In May 2008, two vocalists Maya and Hikaru were confirmed as the final members of Kalafina. In May 2009, Sony Music Entertainment officially posted that Maya will no longer be participating in Kalafina. On 13 March 2019, Space Craft Produce announced Kalafina's disbandment.
