This one dumbass otaku gets transported to the fantasy world of all otaku who dream of harem and panties and big breasted girls who end up liking him anyways even though he's got no life and no personality.
Animation and sound are your standard average anime. I'd actually expected a better quality since this is an OVA, but we don't get any moving performance from the seiyuu, no outstanding special effects, no great op/ed song... No major flaw either though. Just average.
Story and characters simply suck. Bad script, cheesy and shallow conversations, lazy direction, this OVA is way too short for what it's trying to tell in 20 minutes. Your standard cliche girly characters (the angry one, the naive one showing her panties and bib boobs, the twins, etc) are around, as well as Mr. Otaku, to tell you the story of "don't forget your favorite anime characters because they live for REAL, you know, and geez, you better not let them die in favor of some new, CG animated anime that's coming out every week...." Sigh.
And it's even got the most stupid ending of all. Might as well not spoil it for you, because everything else I just said is pretty much what you'll get out of this one. Unless you're a die-hard fan of Stratos 4 and Yukikaze (on which this is very loosely inspired) you'll end up yawning and thinking of how better you should have spent your time (like I did).
I actually think this OVA is sick in some way. To think that there might be people out there who "truly love anime and the characters" (sic) instead of just enjoying it for what it is (a medium to tell stories) is really, really disturbing. Either I'm REALLY not getting it, or there are some messed up people out there who are in dire need of interacting with real people. Brrr.
This one's better off in the forgotten world, like the Forgetter* said. He's got a good point there.

This world was created by the desires of anime fans and can only exist as long as they remember their beloved characters. But he must hurry, the convention is ending and so is this world.
