A really good down-to-earth sports series and nothing at all like e.g. "Prince of Tennis" which I also enjoyed a lot.
Here you won't see any super-duper-techniques since it's more on the realistic side of it. It gives better explanations about the sport and the rules. The characters actually really have to train months to achieve some goals etc.
The main character (who is quite studious) reminds you a bit of Inui (PoT) since he analyses everything, calculates in probabilities and has a good eyesight. Other than that he is a very simple guy who isn't interested in much and rather does what he needs to do instead of what he wants to do. He isn't a super-guy who wins each game since he's uber-talented. Instead you see him work hard, lose here and there but he improves himself steadily.
And that's a guy you really root for since he is unpredictable!
And that's where the fun begins... !
A really charming sport series which is one-of-a-kind (for me yet).
They both are around sports and romance, with both partners playing the same sports.
Both have a similar positive feel.

This is NOT an anime like Prince of Tennis, that has totally fictitious and outrageous moves.
