COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) - It's fair season and the 166th Ohio State Fair kicks off Wednesday, July 24th!
Gates for the fair will open at 9:00 AM with an opening ceremony and ribbon cutting with Ohio Governor Mike DeWine. Then it will be open for 12 days, until August 4.Fair staples such as the traditional Butter Cow, exciting pig races and iconic Giant Slide are back! There are also new attractions, including strolling entertainers "FLIPPIN - The Aerial and Acrobatic Spectacular" and Brian Miser, a human cannonball who recently performed on "America's Got Talent."
Of course there's also a full lineup of concerns, including KIDZ BOP, Chris Young, Hank Williams, Jr., and Bad Company. You can see the full lineup and buy tickets on their website here.

Here's what you need to know if you want to head to the fair:
It's open from 9 AM - 10 PM, except closing day August 4th, which ends at 6:00 PM. Rides don't start until 10:00 AM, but are operating until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
