CVS Pharmacy

If every CVS pharmacy would operate like the Newington location, they would be highly regarded. This is the few CVS store and pharmacy that I have ever been in that the staff was courteous, friendly, competent and efficient. You never wait for hours or even days like some CVS's for a prescription. CVS needs to use this as a model store and train all their employees here! Orders filled on time and they really work to get you the best value. Informative team will always go the extra mile to help you.

I recently had a good experience with this CVS. This is not our regular pharmacy, but due to certain shortages, we were having difficulty filling a prescription. I called numerous places and this CVS was the first that had it. My phone hold time was shorter than at other places.

After I asked the provider to send the prescription, I waited a bit and then drove to CVS. There was a short line, but they were well staffed and managed the line well. The prescription was not ready yet, which was not surprising to me in light of when the provider sent the prescription. They acknowledged that they had received it and offered to expedite it if I wanted to wait. They said it would be 15 minutes.

In less than 15 minutes, they called my name and I had my prescription. While I waited, I bought Father's Day cards and some other essentials. This was the best recent experience I've had at a pharmacy.

Extremely rude staff, including managers. Unprofessional behavior at every level. Pharmacy personnel don't understand insurance policies and will not attempt to help or educate themselves. If you have any questions or issues be prepared to be told to figure it out yourself. Would give zero stars if that was an option.

I was waiting in line for my prescription and I saw an elderly man with a WWII hat on getting yelled at by the pharmacist. She then said to her coworker that he keeps coming back. He seemed embarrassed and walked away saying he would never come back again. I was angry with myself after because I didn't say anything. Yelling at people, elderly people, a WWII veteran is awful and should never happen again.

Someone answering the pharmacy line today had a serious stick up their a**!!!! Unbelievably rude, not only to me but also to my mom whom later called asking a similar question as my own (no more than 15min after me). I have never had a bad experience at this location before, but I guess there's a first time for everything. Need to teach the girls answering phones manners!!!!!!!

Other than this, everyone I've come in contact with in the past has been very nice and helpful!

The RX here is terrible. They gave me a wait time of 20 mins. It took them 58 mins for me to get 3 scripts. They only had one pharmacist and an intern working behind the counter on a Tuesday evening. This is terrible service.

Poor service and processes. Deleted prescriptions by mistake I did not get filled. Did not facilitate transferring my prescription properly even when I called in advance to notify them. Horrible service! Could not explain how my prescriptions were deleted. Puts me in a horrible situation of having to go back to my doctor to get this addressed.

This is a CVS just like any other. It is in downtown Newington so the area around it is decent and clean. Definitely useful if you live nearby and I would recommend using it.

Went here for some new hair ties had some coupons and then they had an extra bucks deal... when all was said and done I walked out with the hair ties, listerian, 2 things of crest tooth paste, dental floss, and some girly items :-/ what should have been $26 ish was $12.37 woo hoo for extra bucks :-)
