Chopsticks Chinese Restaurant

A longtime fan of unpretentious neighborhood Chinese taking joints, I don't have one in my own neighborhood so I light-railed to Bergenline.

Hot and spicy shrimp has a tangy red sauce; in a perfect world there would be more vegetable accompaniment. The hot and sour soup was a standout, more incendiary than usual, benefiting from fresh mushrooms and bits of pork (you can choose pork or shrimp formulations).

Paid around a hundred dollars in take out and the food was gross and the portions were very small. I paid $19 for overcooked chicken and shrimp teriyaki and it came in a container WITH the rice. It was 90% rice and tasted really bad. Soup was bland and spring rolls were mostly fried wrapping - no spring... And they didn't have an item that cost $23 but they "didn't know how to cancel an item" through the Uber Eats platform.
Overall, very expensive and disappointing.

The is the BEST Chinese food in Northern New Jersey!!!! They have been in business over 55 years and there is no one else in town that does it like they do! My family and I have been coming here for over 30 years and I still make the 45 mins drive just to eat here. The owners are amazing, nice & funny. DONT GIVE IT A SECOND THOUGHT!

They r soo nasty and un respectful for people and the food is not good if u have better options just go for it bcause this restaurant disgusting.

It's a shame because most of the food is very good! However, delivery always takes forever. More times than not they forget to send the Chinese noodles for your soup (and you remind them on the phone) & the wonton soup has no taste. Going back to our other Chinese delivery spot.

Delivery guy was very nice.

Food came uncooked and burned in the same rice pint (see photos). Missing a few things and they sent shrimp egg rolls instead of spring rolls.

I ordered from Grubhub from this place, which is less than 10 minutes from my house. First thing I noticed was a $3.50 delivery fee, on a $15 order. WTH. I thought, ok fine, I don't have to tip then. Then the delivery guy looked at me weird and asked me for tip, which I replied, go talk to the restaurant about the $3.50 delivery fee.

20 minutes later the restaurant called to ask me about that, saying the delivery guy said I gave the restaurant $3 tip. I replied, why a $3.50 delivery fee if none of that money isn't going to the delivery guy? To which he replied that's the fee they are paying Grubhub. So, why pass that fee to customers at the expense of delivery people?

The delivery guy didn't even seem to know this fee existed. The food was ok. But, I'll never order from this place again.

Everything was pretty good and delivered quickly!
Love to stop by after work sometimes as well.
Staff is very welcoming and friendly.
The price is reasonable and you get a lot of food.

The food quality is very very bad, wastage of money, I don't like writing bad reviews but I'm very disappointed about this place. I have never tasted such terrible Chinese food in my life. will definitely not come back again.

No other chinese spot even comes close to comparing to the flavor and quality of the food from here. Very fast delivery and competitive prices. This place can't be beat. I moved to another county but I still make the trip out and order from here
