Visit Anjarle Beach That Shines Like A Diamond Where Turtles Nest And Dolphins Are Spotted
Stretching over 2 km with palm trees sidelining the shore, white sand spread over till your eyes can see that shines like diamonds in the sunlight, pristine waters and beauty that cannot be summed up in words. In the Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra near Dapoli (25 km away), this beautiful beach is what vacay dreams are made of. It is situated near River Jog's estuary, and is also a place where turtles nest and also dolphins are spotted occasionally. Once you enter the beach, you will be greeted by a board that informs that turtles nest here and the locals nurture them.
The beach is secluded, there are no shacks on the beach, but there are handful food options outside the entry to the beach. The beach has green-blue waters and is super clean. The highlight is the white sand that looks so beautiful in the daylight when the sun's rays fall upon it and they shine bright like a diamond.

There is a famous Kadyawarcha Ganpati temple in Anjarle town, which is on the cliff and thousands of devotees visit here each year. The temple dates back to 1150 AD. Unlike other Ganpati idol with trunks on the left, this rare idol has Ganesha's trunk on the right side. There are more temples nearby that have historic significance. You can see the Suvarnadurg Fort in the backdrop when you reach the top of the hill or stroll on the beach.
The best time to visit Anjarle beach is during the winter, i.e the months of November-March. During winters, bird watchers can also spot migratory birds that visit the beach. If you wanna explore further, then head to Harnai Beach or Kelshi beach which are nearby.
Reaching there is pretty convenient. From Dapoli you can take state transport buses, rickshaws, and shared jeeps. You can also embark on a road trip and explore this Konkan gem. The nearest railway station is Khed.
