The cast of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever were out in full force at the Hollywood premiere on October 26. As expected, there was plenty of excellent fashion on the red carpet: Rihanna arrived in an offbeat look by Rick Owens, while Letitia Wright paid a touching tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman in a bejeweled Alexander McQueen blazer that resembled the Givenchy haute couture suit Boseman wore to the 2018 Oscars.
Lupita Nyong’o—who plays Nakia in the film—was positively glowing in a knotted white one-shoulder dress by Balmain, which she wore with an intricate shell crown and purple shoes. As the new global ambassador for De Beers (she stars in the brand’s Where It Begins campaign), Lupita had first pick of its diamond jewelry to wear to the event—she sported a suite of diamond rings, earrings and bracelets for the occasion.
Earlier in the day, the actor joined her co-stars on the set of Jimmy Kimmel Live, wearing a crystal-encrusted jacket by Cinq à Sept with a corseted bustier, elegant wide-leg trousers, platforms and square-frame sunglasses. And for a press appearance on 25 October, she wore a striking cobalt blue suit by Bach Mai, accessorized with a Yuzefi bag.
This month marks the beginning of the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever press tour, meaning that the former Vogue cover star will be busy with junkets and red carpets for several weeks. Her longtime stylist, Micaela Erlanger, will oversee her wardrobe, so expect to see plenty more happy-making fashion, soon.
