Great for swimming08/18/2019 BySHERYL KIMES My dermatologist told me to keep my forearms out of the sun. Given that I'm a hard-core swimmer and only swim outside, that would be a problem. Then, I found these! They fit well and don't interfere with my swimming at all.
I had tried a swim shirt before this and found it very confining. Plus, it slowed me down a lot because of the associated drag. I also tried a pair of Nike UV sleeves that were designed for non-aquatic activities and quickly realized that they were not designed for being in the water (as in didn't have sufficient elastic to keep them on in the pool). Again, the UVoider sleeves don't have that problem.
The only thing I've had to do is turn them inside out. When I wore them as designed, I found the elastic to be too tight on my forearm. But, when I turned them inside out, that went away. Who knows why, but it worked.
I would highly recommend these for swimmers who need to protect their forearms from UV rays.
Sunscreen sleeves 07/10/2024 ByDavid McAtee I bought my UV selves at the start of the summer. I’ve never had summer only sleeves for UV. I thought they would be uncomfortable and be put in my cycling clothing bin that I don’t wear much. But I wear them ever time I go for a ride. They have the ability to keep you cooler even in 90+ temps. They keep your skin from baking, but also serve to keep your skin cool from evaporate cooling from your sweat. I believe from not having to put on sunscreen is actually better for my skin to keep cooler, and the white color reflects not only heat but UV rays too. I’ve started in morning temps at 56 and it would warm up to 90 by the time I’m done. Over all, I’m very please with my purchase for summer riding. I don’t feel like a roasted hotdog after I put in a 50-60 mile ride. And I can see them as protection somewhat from road rash if I took a fall.

The uvoider sleeves are the best sleeves that I've purchased. They're comfortable with soft, stretchy fabric, the right amount of compression and plenty of length. They also appear to be made with quality materials so that they'll last. The fact that these sleeves are priced at two thirds or less of what the top tier brands cost makes them a great value. I've purchased two pairs thus far and am likely to buy more in the future.
Love the new sun sleeves07/07/2019 ByBrian Harding I purchased these after a friend mentioned that he had been using sun sleeves. I did some research and uvoider received lots of great reviews. I purchased them and couldn't be happier. I have been using them in the Tucson summer heat and I have to say they are much better than using sunscreen. These keep my arms much cooler than sealing my pores with sunscreen. They also of course do an amazing job of preventing sunburn. I am going to buy a couple more pair.
UV Sleeves 09/29/2021 ByJames Gregory After skin cancer I decided I needed protection option that would not turn my golf shirts yellow/white. Looked at Amazon choices but did not like one size fits all or multi packs of obvious poor quality. Loved your size chart and color options. Price was very fair for a quality product. Recently ordered 2 more pair. I’m retired and didn’t want to wash daily. Also like that they seem to help keep sweating under control and don’t fall down my arm.
