Topic: eMod Update, Patent Center and Structured Text
The USPTO’s Patent Quality Chat webinar continues its 2018 series in February with an “eMod Update: Patent Center and Structured Text”.
eCommerce Modernization, or eMod, at USPTO is improving the electronic patent application process by modernizing its filing and viewing systems. At this event, the eMod Team will be discussing new structured text features, including the ability to file structured text via our electronic filing system (EFS-Web) and access structured text submissions, structured text Office actions, and XML downloads via the Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (PAIR) system. Additionally, the eMod Team will share information about the upcoming Patent Center Beta Release for participants to use the new Patent Center tool (to replace EFS-Web and PAIR), and provide feedback for further improvements.
We look forward to hearing your feedback about ways data can advance patent quality and about our plans for 2018 and beyond. Please send your input and questions to [email protected] before and during the event.
The Patent Quality Chat webinar series is presented as a part of USPTO’s continuous efforts to improve patent quality. No registration is necessary; the link to join is available on the series webpage.
