Maybe the best choice you could make would be to head to Fort Myers, part of the greater Naples area of Southwest Florida, (as are most of the golf courses). Why there" You may well ask, and I can give you a hundred and one good reasons: here are just a few.1, Fort Myers is one of my personal favorite golf destinations. 2, and this one I especially like: I can play the year-round. 3, the golf courses are all open for play the year-round. 4, In the summer season, May through October, rarely are any of them very busy thus you can pick your tee time knowing you'll be able to enjoy a leisurely round. 5, Better yet, many of Fort Myers' private golf clubs open their facilities for public play. This provides visiting golfers a rare treat indeed. 6, and this one is probably the most important: the weather is almost always grand. The Bellasera Hotel is situated on 9th street in downtown Naples. A Four Diamond resort, Bellasera has been a favorite with golfers since it first opened in late 2003. Golf Plus - In and Around Naples, Fort Myers and Sarasota Okay, that Fort Myers, but theres a huge and wonderfui world of golf just waiting for us and all of it withing 50 miles of FM. Yes, there are more than 100 great golf courses and resorts located along the Southwest Gulf Coast from Sarasota all the way down to Marco Island. But there's more; aside from the seemingly endless opportunities to indulge in our favorite pastime, the Southwest Gulf Coast is a seaside paradise: The beaches are beyond compare and the weather… well. It’s almost always summer down on the gulf. When it rains, it rains hard but never, so it seems, for very long. Then there are the sunsets; stunning is a word that barely describes them. The ocean is always warm and inviting, and the fishing is as good as it gets. So, if you’re simply looking for a great place to spend a few relaxing days in the sun with plenty to see and do, all points south of Sarasota is where you should head. Here are my lists of Golf Courses and Resorts in Naples, golf courses and resorts in the Fort Myers area, and my list of golf courses and resorts in the Greater Sarasota area.
