On May 1, singer Hamasaki Ayumi announced via her official fan club that she had given birth to her second child. 

Hamasaki reported, "This spring, I gained another precious family member and started my new lifestyle." She did not share the baby's sex nor any details regarding the birth. "I'm still not used to many things, but I am trying to be positive and spend my days with a smile as much as possible," she said. 

Hamasaki had her first child at the end of 2019. She announced her second pregnancy last October saying, "My second angel is growing inside of my stomach. I am looking forward to having a big family!!”
