     Vere Brabazon Ponsonby, 9th Earl of Bessborough was born on 27 October 1880.1 He was the son of Edward Ponsonby, 8th Earl of Bessborough and Blanche Vere Guest.1 He married Roberte de Neuflize, daughter of Baron unknown de Neuflize, on 25 June 1912.3 He died on 10 March 1956 at age 75.1

     Roberte de Neuflize was the daughter of Baron unknown de Neuflize.1 She married Vere Brabazon Ponsonby, 9th Earl of Bessborough, son of Edward Ponsonby, 8th Earl of Bessborough and Blanche Vere Guest, on 25 June 1912.1 She died in 1979.1
     Her married name became Ponsonby. After her marriage, Roberte de Neuflize was styled as Countess of Bessborough on 1 December 1920. She was appointed Dame Grand Cross, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (G.C.St.J.)1 She was awarded the Chevalier, Legion of Honour.1 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for West Sussex between 1943 and 1956.1

     Frederick Edward Neuflize Ponsonby, 10th Earl of Bessborough was born on 29 March 1913.1 He was the son of Vere Brabazon Ponsonby, 9th Earl of Bessborough and Roberte de Neuflize.1 He married Mary Munn, daughter of Charles Alexander Munn and Mary Astor Paul, on 29 September 1948.1 He died on 5 December 1993 at age 80, without male issue.1
     Frederick Edward Neuflize Ponsonby, 10th Earl of Bessborough usually went by his middle name of Eric.2 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in 1936 in the Surrey and Sussex Yeomanry, Field Brigade, Royal Artillery.2 He was Secretary to the High Commissioner for Refugees between 1936 and 1939.2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He was Aide-de-Camp of the GOC, Canadian Corps in 1940.2 He gained the rank of Major in 1942.2 He gained the rank of GSO 2 (L) between 1942 and 1944, in West and North Africa.2 He was in the Foreign Service in 1944.2 He succeeded as the 7th Baron Duncannon of Bessborough, co.
