     Ronald Hugh Baillie was born in 1863 at Windsor, Berkshire, England.1,2 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Duncan James Baillie and Anne Glentworth Burnaby.1 He married Elizabeth Margaret Rose, daughter of Major James Rose, 23rd of Kilravock and Anna Maria Twemlow, on 3 April 1897.3 He died on 14 December 1948.
     He lived at Jedbank, Jedburgh, Roxburghshire, Scotland.4 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)4 He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Horse Guards.3 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)3

     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Territorial Army.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Lovat Scouts.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)1
