TV WENDY IN HEALTH SCARE.

Eastenders star Wendy Richard has been forced to pull out of a pantomime because of ill-health.

Wendy, who plays Pauline Fowler in the hit TV soap, has been told by her doctor to drop out of the production of Dick Whittington in Brighton.

The 50-year-old successfully battled against breast cancer 18 months ago.

But she has been left worn out after a hectic filming schedule for EastEnders.

Panto producer Jamie Phillips said: "She's ill. She was filming in Ireland three weeks ago and it knocked her out.

"Filming all day was too much for her and her doctor has now advised her not to do the pantomime."

Lorraine Chase will replace Wendy as Fairy Bow-Bells in the show which starts at the Theatre Royal on December 11.
