Strawberry mummies.
Ask your adult to help you make these yummy mummies for your fall festivities!
What You Need: * 12 ounces white baking chocolate * Medium-sized, microwave-safe bowl * Microwave oven (for adult use only) * Spoon * 1 teaspoon vegetable oil, if needed * 1 pound ripe strawberries, rinsed and patted dry with paper towels * Wax paper-lined baking sheet * 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips * Sandwich bag * Safety scissors What You Do: 1. Place the white chocolate in the medium-sized bowl. Ask your adult to melt the chocolate in the microwave according to package directions. If the chocolate seems too thick, add the vegetable oil and stir well. 2. Hold a strawberry by its green top and dip or roll it in the chocolate until it's covered. Place it on the baking sheet. Add two chocolate chips for eyes. 3. Repeat step 2 with the remaining strawberries. Let the chocolate harden. 4. Ask your adult to reheat the leftover chocolate. Pour it in a sandwich bag and twist the end. 5. Make a tiny snip in the corner of the bag and squeeze a couple of crisscross "mummy wrappings" onto each berry. Refrigerate until ready to serve!
