The cream of the British wrestling scene competes in episodes shown every Wednesday at 8pm on the WWE Network.
And it was announced yesterday that the first NXT UK TakeOver event will be held at Blackpool's Empress Ballroom next year.
NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpoolwill take place on Saturday, January 12, ahead of more TV tapings on Sunday, January 13.
Following the news, there were several key developments, as the NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool card began to take shape.
Neil Docking was at the Liverpool Olympia for Mirror Sport and below are the results in full.
EXCLUSIVE: Triple H reveals WWE returning to Blackpool for first NXT UK: TakeOver
Xia Brookside received a great reception in her home city and displayed nice technical skills en route to defeating Nina Samuels, despite her opponent's height and weight advantage. Brookside used Samuels' size against her as she dragged the villain off the top turnbuckle, slamming her to the canvas, for the win.
NXT general manager Johnny Saint hit the ring to introduce a video announcement by Triple H. He revealed the first NXT UK TakeOver will take place in Blackpool in January, followed by a further day of TV tapings. Saint added: "We're taking over."
He was joined by Toni Storm, who said Liverpool had been her home for five years before she headed to WWE Evolution to clinch the Mae Young Classic 2018 trophy. "You deserve it" chants rang out and Saint said if Storm wanted to challenge for the NXT UK women's title at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool, then she deserved that as well.
Meet WWE's Brit Pack: Isla Dawn, Eddie Dennis and Jinny on NXT UK
Kenny Williams brought the best out of Jordan Devlin in a strong bout that saw the Scotsman flourish until Devlin caught a dropkick through the ropes and smashed him on the apron. Williams had a standing moonsault well scouted, but no chance of seeing a clubbing blow to the back of the head, then an exploder suplex leading to a Time Bomb from the 'Import Killer'.
Post-match, he boasted about being 'The Ace' and called out an unnamed loser, who he said was an embarrassment to his country.
Dan Maloney attempted to outmuscle Eddie Dennis in a very short match, which saw Dennis hit a tilt-a-whirl slam on the apron before he was attacked from behind by Dave Mastiff. The Midlands marauder teased his cannonball splash in the corner but Eddie escaped, only for Mastiff to instead hit Maloney with it when he remonstrated over his interference.
The physically imposing Tyson T-Bone and Saxon Huxley bested Jack Starz and Tucker in a decent bout, despite the plucky Starz delivering an assortment of dropkicks to try and halt the big men. They flattened him with a double choke slam, as fans mocked Huxley's tights and long hair, chanting 'Tarzan Jesus'.
Tucker took a great bump off the apron after an attack by T-Bone and the veteran dropped Starz with a right hand allowing Huxley to pick up the pin.
WWE Mirror Exclusive interviews
A strong match indeed saw Ligero clash with Joe Coffey of the new Scottish faction Gallus. The masked high flyer tried to bamboozle Coffey with Lady of the Lake, but his reward was being speared into a barricade. Ligero jumped over another spear in the ring and after a plancha hit a springboard inverted DDT for a two count.
The crowd was hugely behind Ligero and willed him to reach the ropes when Coffey blocked a Frankensteiner, hit a powerbomb and locked in a Boston crab. However, no amount of support could save him when a springboad attack was met with a Discus lariat. Coffey looked the real deal here.
Another good encounter saw Marcel Barthel shine against the always impressive Mark Andrews. A handstand wristlock displayed the German's technical prowess and they exchanged fierce chops as Andrews kicked and clawed his way back into the match. However, after he nailed a footstomp and a suicide dive, Italy's Fabian Aichner came down to ringside and tried to influence proceedings.
Barthel survived Stundog Millionaire and rolled out of the way of a shooting star press, before shoving Andrews off the ropes as he looked set to launch another offensive. Aichner attacked behind the referee's back and Barthel triumphed with Landungsbrucken, his bridging belly-to-back suplex. Afterwards, Barthel and Aichner shook hands.
Mirror Sport's Neil Docking speaks to WWE NXT UK star Zack Gibson
Zack Gibson and James Drake overcame the intense duo Wild Boar and Primate in a solid contest, in which the Welshman and the debuting Geordie were impressive in defeat.
Boar rocked Drake with a senton splash and Primate unleashed overhead belly-to-belly suplexes, but Grizzled Young Veterans were the slicker of the two sides and their double team attacks proved decisive, from Drake springing outside to help Gibson hit a slam, to their Ticket to Mayhem finisher.
Post-match, Gibson said they were setting their sights on the NXT UK Tag Team Championship and that he knows a thing or two about winning tournaments. He sang the Liverpool FC song Allez, Allez, Allez and declared "I love my city".
But he then turned on the fans, saying he hated the people of Liverpool, who the second he enjoyed any success, turned on him and called him a woollyback - Scouse slang for an out-of-towner. Good luck to American fans understanding that reference! He said the Beatles claimed they were bigger than Jesus, but Grizzled Young Veterans are bigger than The Beatles. Top stuff.
Dave Mastiff was unable to face Josh Morrell on account of Eddie Dennis delivering a power slam to Morrell on the stage before the match began.
Rhea Ripley and Deonna Purrazzo collided in a match that built from a slow start to a strong finish, as the NXT Women's Champion was pushed to the limit by the New Jersey native. Purrazzo tied Ripley up in knots early on, but the power of the Australian proved key as she hit an electric chair front drop on the apron and ragged her around before applying a standing cloverleaf submission.
Following a plancha off the apron, Deonna tried to force the 5ft 8in champion to submit, then, when that failed, hit a second rope German suplex and tilt-a-whirl suplex for a nearfall. Yet Ripley emerged victorious thanks to her Riptide finisher, then beat down Deonna. Toni Storm made the save.

Travis Bank shone in a fairly routine victory over rising star Jamie Ahmed (aka Screwface) with a leaping double footstomp followed up by a Roaring Knee Strike.
Post-match the Kiwi Buzzsaw was confronted by Jordan Devlin, who in a great promo accused him of abandoning his native country of New Zealand, while he heads back to Ireland after collecting every sweet paycheck, before delivering the killer line: "Does your ma even remember your voice?"
It looks like these two are destined for a showdown at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool, which should be some match.
Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner solidified their new alliance with a win over Kenny Williams and Amir Jordan, the latter whom drew the ire of Barthel with his dancing early on and was met by a barrage of kicks and stomps.
"S*** Vin Diesel" chants distracted Aichner and it was Williams who stole the spotlight, flying around the ring at breakneck speed until his momentum was cut short by the Italian. Jordan found himself hung up in the ropes and ate a dropkick to the chest, an exploder suplex for a two count then Landungsbrucken for another victory for the former Ringkampf man.
The spirited Candy Floss was bested by Jinny, who ignored shouts of "Primark Princess' and shrugged off a running dropkick to the face, before triumphing with a wheelbarrow kick, in a decent match that showed Floss is not in NXT UK to just make up the numbers.
Former WWE star Damien Sandow lands role in hit American TV show
The roof came off the Olympia when two of the three biggest stars in the NXT UK division, Tyler Bate and Trent Seven, hit the ring. They faced Wolfgang and Mark Coffey from Gallus in a thrilling bout that saw Moustache Mountain display the superb teamwork that must make them favourites to be the first NXT UK Tag Team Champions.
Their Scottish rivals built up heat with a prolonged assault on Seven, before chants of "Big Strong Boi" were finally answered when Bate got the hottest of hot tags. He nearly ended up in the crowd with an almighty suicide dive, then delivered another dive, an exploder suplex and a standing moonsault in a phenomenal salvo. After an airplane spin on Wolfgang, Tyler was locked in a sleeper hold by Coffey, but he hit both men with a double German suplex. One of the finest workers in the world today received a standing ovation as a result.
Gallus teased victory when Coffey met Tyler's rope rebound with a devastating kick, then his brother Joe came down to the ring, seemingly set to interfere. The WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne emerged and dispatched him allowing Mosutache Mountain to capitalise with a lariat assisted dragon suplex.
Post-match, Dunne confirmed he would face Joe Coffey at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool, before all six men brawled and Gallus got the upper hand, standing above the grounded British Strong Style. However, the three men leapt up and hit Bop and Bang, then nailed all three of their finishers, setting up a six-man tag team collision on Sunday night at the second set of tapings.
Tickets will go on sale for both NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool and the following day's television tapings at 10am on Monday, November 26.
