President Marzouki receives delegation of farmers from Manouba.

TUNIS, (TAP) - A delegation of Farmers from the Governorate of Manouba stressed, during their meeting with caretaker President Moncef Marzouki, Thursday in the Carthage Palace, the need to assist farmers who suffered damage due to the fire blight disease that has destroyed part of the pear trees in the governorate.

The President of the Tunisian Union of Agriculture and Fisheries (UTAP) Abdelmaji Zar underlined the need to provide the necessary support to the farmers for the afforestation of their plantations by contributing to funding this operation given its high cost and the indebtedness of several farmers.
