Phillips eyes leading role with Scots.
MATT Phillips is full of confidence after scoring in a stand-out display during Albion's weekend win over Leeds United.
The wing-back played a pivotal role in the 4-1 triumph that helped the Baggies get back to winning ways.
And now he's ready to turn it on, UP FRONT, for Scotland in the vital Nations League double-header against Albania and Israel.
Alex McLeish's men are without Leigh Griffiths and Steven Naismith ahead of the decisive 180 minutes.
The boss has called Sheffield Wednesday's Steven Fletcher back into the squad but Hawthorns star Phillips has also returned and joins up with the squad in flying form.
He said: "Playing as a wingback for West Brom and as a striker for Scotland are both relatively new but I feel as though I'm adjusting.
"Of course, there are still things I can do better in each position but if I score as a striker and create things as a wing-back, that's a positive.
"At West Brom, as a wingback I'm still encouraged to get forward.
"It's different to being a striker but I'm still out there to create and score and as long as I'm doing that, that's good."
