Thursday May 19 Bird Song in Thornley Woods. The Natural History Society of Northumbria is holding an early morning visit to Thornley Woods in Gateshead to listen to birds at their best.

Tuesday May 31 Family Minibeast Safari. Drop in at one of two afternoon sessions to learn more about the creepy crawlies that live beneath your feat. The sessions are at 1pm and 2pm and cost pounds 2.50 per child.

Thursday June 2 Raft Race From 1pm until 3pm the Northumberland Wildlife Trust will help families build a raft before racing against others.
Booking is essential for the event at Millfield House, Jesmond Dene.

Thursday June 2 Summer in Hulne Park (pictured above) The Alnwick and District Natural History Society is holding a field trip looking at flora and fauna in the park. Visitors should meet at the main park entrance of Hulne Park in Alnwick for a 2pm start.

Saturday June 4 Bird Watching in Harthorpe Valley From 10am the Natural History Society of Northumbria are hosting a bird watching experience through the hill valleys with David Noble-Rollin. Look out for birds such as Ring Ouzel, Tree Pipits and Redstart.
