Around Town: Dillingham and crew promoting veterans.

A big Veterans Celebration is scheduled Monday night and Kyle Dillingham & Horseshow Road will provide the entertainment.
Head for the CHK|Central Boathouse, 732 Riversport Dr., and join the fun. You can reserve a table of eight and tickets are only $10. Call 405-808-8804 for tickets.
At 5:30 p.m., food trucks will start serving it up and at 7 p.m., fiery fiddling begins. Talented John Taylor will be onstage starting at 6 p.m.
The amazing concert performance by Kyle and Horseshow Road will be a part of honoring the men, women and families who've served our community in the armed forces.
Along with the cuisine from I Don't Know I Don't Care, an assortment of local beer and wine will be available. Individual tickets for the evening will be $15 at the door.
Save the date
On Dec. 16 the traditional Oklahoma City Holiday River Parade will start at 6 p.m. at the Oklahoma River Boathouse District, 725 S. Lincoln Blvd.

Shopping extravaganza
Gypsy Glam Roadshow will be hosting its second annual Holiday Shopping Extravaganza on Sunday at the OKC Farmers Public Market, 311 S. Klein Ave. The extravaganza is sponsored by the Green Tree Project, Marco's Pizza and Renewal by Andersen.
Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus will be on hand to watch over the youngsters and the veterans who attend.
Features include food trucks, planting stations, wine tastings, lots of shopping, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Heartbreak Rodeo will provide the music.
General admission and VIP tickets are available now. GA tickets are also at the door for $8. VIP tickets must be purchased online and in advance for $18. A portion of each ticket sale goes toward the Homeless Alliance of Oklahoma City and benefits the Curbside Chronicle.

Fire volunteers get donation
A really special gift has brightened the lives of the Thomas Volunteer Fire Department in Thomas. Oklahoma City-based Dolese Bros. Co. donated a truck to them. This gift probably will make a joyous Christmas.
The truck will aid general fire response more quickly. Dolese was founded in 1902 and has aided many firefighter needs.
The 2008 Sterling truck chassis was presented to Thomas Fire Chief Larry Shrock.
So, Merry Christmas, guys.
OKC Broadway news
On the schedule of musicals from OKC Broadway is Love Never Dies, which continues the love story of the original Phantom of the Opera. Don't be confused, though. Each musical is grand.
