Keitel's and De Niro's performances alone.
So while it's surprising that this stark, staring, genuinely radical film got made with big stars like Richard Pryor and Harvey
Keitel (and was directed by Paul Schrader straight after his breakthrough in writing Taxi Driver), it's less of a surprise that so few have seen it, or even heard of it.
