(gän-jä′) or Gyan·dzhe (gyän-) Formerly Ki·ro·va·bad (kĭ-rō′və-băd′, kyĭ′rə-və-bät′) A city of western Azerbaijan southeast of Tbilisi, Georgia. An important textile and wine center in medieval times, it was annexed by Russia in 1804.
