SOLDIERS from A Squadron, 1st The Queen's Dragoon Guards, have spent the past week on Castlemartin Firing Range in Pembrokeshire preparing for their imminent deployment to Poland on Operation Cabrit. This is the second rotation of The Welsh Cavalry being deployed this year after first arriving in the Baltic region back in April as part of the UK's contribution to Nato's enhanced Forward Presence.

Currently undertaking the eight month deployment called Operation Cabrit, The Royal Welsh who took over from 5th Battalion The Rifles in October, will hand over to 1st Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment at the beginning of July.

They are part of Operation Cabrit which has seen troops deployed to Poland and also Estonia.
