Just a few days after making her first official red carpet appearance with rumored new love Evan Peters, Halsey is opening up about her breakup from the musician Yungblud. The singer took to Twitter to clear up rumors about her love life, but apparently deleted the tweet not too long after posting it.
"Sometimes. People just break up," Halsey apparently tweeted on October 28. (A fan account captured the tweet before she deleted it.) "It doesn't mean someone cheated or something bad happened or someone f-ed up. Sometimes. It just happens. Because life Is constantly changing. And adults stay friends and move on."
If this tweet is to be believed, it seems as though the Halsey/Yungblud split was mutual, and both parties are doing just fine; if you're looking for drama, you probably won't find any here. The two met when Halsey DMed Yungblud on Instagram; the pair had an instant connection, and they went on to collaborate on the song "11 Minutes."
“I was sitting at home and…I really wanted to have a real conversation with someone,” Halsey said of their first meeting. “I just got into an Uber by myself, went downtown, and we just met up…total stranger, I’ve never met him before. It was cool for me because it reminded me of when I was back in New York and making music, and I would do that; I would just link with other artists … and it felt really organic.” The two dated for several months, with Halsey posting cute pics of them together, until their alleged split this fall. Rumors kicked into high gear when Halsey was spotted holding hands with Evan Peters at Six Flags in late September, and their coordinating costumes at her Halloween party only fueled speculation about the nature of their relationship.
Since Halsey did delete the tweet and neither she, Evan, nor Yungblud have officially spoken up about the state of their respective relationships, it's best to take all of this with a grain of salt and let the people involved share their big news with us when they're ready.
