For now all of our live events are virtual, so you can access them from anywhere in the world!
The membership will start on the day it is purchased. During checkout, you will be asked to either connect your existing free TED.com account or create one. Connecting your login to your purchase is critical to access member benefits and manage your subscription.
No. All memberships are paid on a recurring basis. If you bought an annual membership, it will automatically renew each year from the date you purchased it. If you bought a monthly membership, it will automatically renew each month.

No, a TED Membership can not be transferred to another person. However, you can send a TED Gift Membership to someone by email. To gift a membership, click here.

You might have connected your membership account to a login email that’s different than the one associated with your TED.com account, or your membership subscription was never linked to a TED.com account. For assistance linking your membership to a pre-existing TED account, please contact our customer support team at members@ted.com.

Find step-by-step cancellation instructions in this article. Please make sure you’re logged in to the account linked to your membership to access the payment area. Membership donations are non-refundable; however, if a transaction was not authorized, please contact our customer support team at members@ted.com.

When a payment method fails, your TED Membership will remain active for a three-week grace period. During this time, you will be notified via email every time there is an attempt to charge the previous payment method. A cancellation will stop an upcoming auto-renewal, but not one where the payment has failed. It's not possible to retroactively cancel a renewal that would have already happened.

Log in to TED.com and access the Member Dashboard settings page (click “My Membership“ button). You can find detailed instructions in this article.

By proceeding with this transaction, you agree to donate the amount specified above which is renewable monthly or yearly. You may cancel renewals anytime in the settings tab of the member dashboard.
