8 weeks ago i was diagnosed with kidney stones, had stents placed, and was also put on bed rest for 7 weeks due to prior preterm contractions and cramping. i am now 34 weeks and after one stent replacement still in serious pain. i am so tired of being in pain and my doctor says the baby is fairly large already (my last pregnancy the same way). she said that if my cervix was changing and the baby was still growign like he is and is 7 lbs she will consider inducing my around 36 weeks. i am dying to be out of pain and having this baby is the only thing that will stop it as i get teh stents out the same day! am i crazy for having her induce me at 36 weeks?

I also had a stent placed because of kidney infection at 28 wks- i went into labor at 34 weeks and the stent wasnt removed until 2 wks after giving birth. that was 6 years ago- was the most pain i have ever experienced. Usually with the trauma with a stent you deliver early.

I am 35 weeks pregnant and a week ago I had a stent put in becos of kidney stones. Since then i have had nothing put pain, everyday and meds to take. I was actually considerting talking to my doctor about inducing me early as well around 36 or 37 weeks, it is to the point now where i am not eating properly and not sleeping bcos of the medication. My baby is fairly large as well he is up to about 7 lbs already. I dont think there is anything wrong with asking to delliver early as long as evverthing is good with baby. The more distress you are in..the more the baby is.
