Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors were in Toronto on Monday for a matchup against the Raptors. Drake, the Raptors’ global ambassador of basketball, sat at his usual courtside seat. Before tip-off, the two-time MVP and the “God’s Plan” hitmaker met and greeted each other before sharing a brief hug.

Fans promptly reacted to the scene:

Another fan continued:

“Steph the real one. Probably why he’s 3-1 against LeBron in the finals”

“Damn Drake look like he really needed that”

LeBron James and Steph Curry are good friends and have close ties with Drake. However, the rapper seemingly dissed the LA Lakers superstar in "Fighting Irish," Drake's collab with Conductor Williams. Many believed Drake hinted at a fake friendship with the four-time MVP in some of the lines.

"The world fell in love with gimmicks, even my brothers got tickets
"Seemed like they loved every minute"

James has been spotted dancing to Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us," a song that alluded to Drake being a pedophile. King James also attended "The Pop Out: Ken & Friends" concert, where fans mocked the Canadian, particularly when Lamar's hit came out.

DJ Akademiks, a good friend of the Raptors super fan, blasted James for his acts and accused the basketball star of cheating on Savannah James. Drake also referenced James' cheating in an alleged leaked chat about his battle with Universal Music Group.

Meanwhile, Steph Curry told fans via a GQ interview in August:

“I’m a big Drake guy. I’ve been for a long time. I think obviously you know what it is for the rap industry to have that [beef], but I still rock with Drake. Absolutely. Absolutely.”

On Monday, the Warriors franchise cornerstone and the "Meet the Grahams" star shared a heartfelt hug.

Steph Curry put on a good show in front of Drake in the first half

Steph Curry shook off the knee soreness that sidelined him on Friday against the Indiana Pacers. In the first half versus Drake's Toronto Raptors, Curry scattered a game-high 15 points with four rebounds, three assists and one steal. However, the Dubs trailed 52-50 as the Raptors got superb output from Scottie Barnes and Gradey Dick.

Late in the second quarter, Curry hit a logo 3-pointer that exasperated Drake. The rapper and the basketball star are good friends but the artist is hoping his team beats the Dubs.
