The Cover-up Letter I am currently in Australia on a Student Visa and will commence my PhD in Pharmacy in March 2012.

I have Bachelor of Pharmacy and a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, both of which were completed in Nigeria. I completed a pharmacist internship after the completion of my bachelors degree and have since been employed as a pharmacy lecturer at the University of Jos in Nigeria. Through my employment and education I have developed an excellent understanding of Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry( and thereby expanding my therapeutic horizon), strong interpersonal and communication skills and impeccable worth ethic. Counselling: Counselling has been part and parcel of me in my career life. First, when I graduated as a Pharmacist, counselling patients in relation to taking their drugs as and when due, possible experiences likely to encounter in the cause of the drug-taking, and what foods and drinks to take or occupation to be engaged in. In addition to these, since health is always a complex thing, requiring the full participation of family members, friends, neighbours, and other relations often, it was my duty as a pharmacist to mention some of these key things to the patient as assistance towards ameliorating the situation may need them. I have also been involved in Community Pharmacy, thus bringing me home to most rural dwellers. In my many years of practice as a pharmacist lecturer, of which I am still continuing, it has been an opportunity for me to come across tens of hundreds of students whom I have had the occasion to counsel on a variety issues including financial management, spiritual progress, academic excelling, relational attitudes, health problems, etc. In most of these cases, the response has been truly positive. I want to apply the same in your Organization since I hope to come across different groups in age and gender. While I acknowledge that counselling is quiet a broad matter and so many factors influence the procedure, I am in no doubt that success is always possible. Strong Interpersonal Relationship: No one works in a communal setting alone and achieves any meaningful result. The Organization is certainly a social-based centre that surely depends on team work to make the optimum positive impact on the people it serves. My years as a lecturer that guaranteed me to work relentlessly in team, groups, and at certain times individually for collative reasons and results, has buffered me enough to develop a very strong interpersonal relation with colleagues or the people being served. I am truly optimistic that the same will be effectively applied when considered for employment in your Organization. Communication and Writing: I am in doubt of my possessing excellent and effective communicative skills, both in spoken and written English Language. Coming from Nigeria where English Language is its lingua franca, no one has an alternative choice to passing the Language before recognition for any further academic work. I have not only passed through this, but have been lecturing in one of the best Nigerian Universities in the same language. I further acknowledge that listening, probing questions

along, are a means to understand others and vice versa. My choice to be in the Counselling and Therapy is not unconnected to my professional skills as a pharmacist that have been developed over the years, and same to solve quite a number of problems while raising solutions to common issues around. These same approaches can effectively be put into writing as required. Ethics: I have very strong positive ethical views about life. I respect age and gender. I have great admiration in peoples belief, especially, when it is humane with no ills towards anybody. I also uphold marriage perfectly well and therefore hold in honour marital values. I am married too, with children in their teens and a beautiful loving wife who has contributed immensely in making me what I am today. I personally see marriage as the nucleus of the larger society. If the core of the society is sick in anyway, the society is certainly affected. I give in my best when it comes to upholding the values of the family. Finally, I hold in regard what God has created and will wish to add value to it and not otherwise. Responsibilities: I have held quite a number of responsibilities including professional and nonprofessional ones. As a Pharmacist in the academia, I have acted as the head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and held a number of posts such as the Departmental Examination and Registration Officer. At the Faculty level, I have been its Representative in sports and Scholarships and Award Committees. The non-professional ones including various leadership roles at the community level where I have been assigned to initiate beneficiary programmes to my people. I stand to assure the Organization that this wealth of experiences can be dispensed maximally if given the opportunity, doubtlessly. At the moment, I am involved with the Australia for United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees(A4UNHCR) as a Front Liner, even though a casual staff. Thank you.
