PROGRAM AREA PLAN OF ACTION FOR 2023

No Plastic Program Area: To keep the environment eco-friendly, LOs are requested to
use cloth banner or digital banner for the program area programs and events.

Nationwide awareness building initiative of 2023 - The Clean Plate Challenge

This JCI India initiative, aims to reduce food waste at public meetings, functions,
ceremonies, and gatherings. All JCI India members must emphasize the value of
preserving food and avoiding unnecessary waste. The initiative to be applied in all
National, Zone and Local Organization levels using posters, banners, hash tags, and
awareness-raising promotional posters to emphasize the significance of the
undertaking. Aim of this program is to ensure Zero Food wastage in any JCI events.

Execution process - The program is to keep our plate clean i.e. we should take exact
portion of food that we can eat. We should not take any extra food and waste, rather,
which ever portion we will take on plate to eat, that has to eaten completely and
handover the clean plate without any single left over on the plate. Same applied on
water also. If we are taking water in glass or bottle, entire porting has to be in taken
and through the empty bottle/glass in trash can, as the case may be.

FOLLOWING ARE THE TIME BOUND ACTIVITIES:

1. REPORT OF GOOD PROJECTS IN JCI PROJECT GALLERY: (January - September)


LOs to publish good projects with photographs in www.jci.cc project gallery.
• International JCI fraternity will know about your work
• LOs to upload projects within 30.09.2023.
2. CSR CONCLAVE: NATIONAL: JUNE
• To enhance CSR Connect program, conclave to be organized
• LO can approach corporate with substantial project or LO can execute corporates
projects.
• LO can have individual tie up with corporates and take fund to LO account (LO
should have bank account in LO name, PAN number ) provide benefits to
corporates from LO level.
• Or LO can refer the Corporates to have a tie up at National level and fund can be
transferred to Indian Jaycees Charitable Trust, which will give tax benefits to
corporates. In such case, the procedures/execution/regulations will be monitored
and administered by NHQ.
• Contact NHQ to get details of CSR connect
• Promotions by LOs/ZP/ZD/ND/NC
• CSR Connect guidelines to be included in Presidential Academy & LOTS to give a
heads up to the LO Presidents from the beginning.

3. JASMINE (JAYCEE ACADEMY FOR SMART INITIATIVE FOR EMPOWERMENT): IN


APRIL – MAY - JUNE FOR STUDENTS OF ZONES/LOs

• Center- 3+1 optional center. 4th Center is optional, based on number of


application’s, 4th center can be executed.
• Jasmine is Level 2–Advanced training program for students of Std. 9 to 12th.
• Eligibility - Students should attended Empowering Youth Training Programs of JCI
India.
• Duration: 2 ½ DAYS (Reporting on Friday afternoon, Closing on Sunday afternoon)
• Maximum: 5 students from each LO.
• Maximum no. of participants: 75 per center
• Registration Fee: Rs. 3500/-+ GST per participant, Total = Rs.4130/-
• JCI INDIA SUBSIDY: MAX. RS 1,50,000/- (2000/-per participant to host in
addition to the registration amount (without gst) , as per the actual number of
participants)
• Host has to provide participation certificate to the participants
• Host to take feedback from Participated Students (through google form) and
share with NHQ
• Host to provide minimum Three Star Hotel with facility of AC Training Hall &
Accommodation (Triple Sharing).
• The event to be hosted as per hosting guidelines provided by NHQ.
• One Lady Chaperon per Zone is allowed

4. NATIONAL LEVEL TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION (NLTS): on 20.08.2023 FOR


STUDENTS OF ALL ZONES/LOs - A Nation-wide IQ test for the students of std.
9,10, 11 & 12 and award the most talented winners

According to the mode of the conduct of the exam, all applicable guidelines,
deadlines, registration fees shall be modified and circulated.

• List of students, appearing in the exam to be sent by LO Presidents through email


within 31st July.
• Promotion of the event by NHQ/ND/NC
• Zone Level Prize amount for 3 toppers – Winner 10,000/- 1st & 2nd Runner-
5000/- each.
• National Level Prize amount for 3 toppers – Winner 50,000/- 1st & 2nd Runner –
25000/- each.

5. JCI WEEK: 9th to 15th SEPTEMBER BY ALL ZONES & LOs


• Mega PR program to our organization. Celebrate the victory of the year.
• NC to Prepare circular and promotion material by 15th July.
• Promotions by LOs/ZP/ZD/ND/NC
• Day wise program plan to be done by NC and ND.
• SDG and need based programs to be planned by current team to generate max
PR
• Activities to be posted in social media by tagging Government / JCI / Corporates /
Companies

6. SAFE DRINKING WATER PROJECT: (SUPPORTED BY JCI INDIA FOUNDATION)


LOs TO CLAIM SUBSIDY, WITHIN 15th SEPTEMBER 2023
• LOs to provide Safe drinking water to school / educational institutions children
• To install water purification system (JCI India Foundation to provide 50% of the
cost of Machine. Max. Rs 50,000/- per Zone & Rs. 10,000/- per LO)
• Claims should reach NHQ on or before 15th September of the same year of
installation, to avail subsidy.
• Installation of the purifier to be completed within 25th August and claim form to
reach NHQ with all supporting documents, within 15th September .
• In case the LO needs the subsidy amount in the name of LO President, then LGB
resolution to be enclosed and President’s bank account name, account number,
Bank name, IFSC code should be provided, along with claim form. In absence of
these information’s, the subsidy payment cheque will be made in LO name.

7. JCI INDIA SCHOLARSHIP (SUPPORTED BY JCI INDIA FOUNDATION FOR NEEDY


STUDENTS): TILL 31st JULY

• Eligibility: Students of 9th to 12th standard scoring minimum 60% are eligible.
• Scholarship amount Rs 3000/- , to each selected student
• Sponsoring LO: Any LO, paid both halves membership, can sponsor the student
• Maximum Applications: One LO can send max 10 genuine student’s applications
• Last Date: List of genuine students (in soft copy, 10 per LOs) must reach to NHQ
on or before 31st July . Email id for sending scholarship applications, will be
circulated min one month before the last date.
• Student should have bank account in his/her name
• Scholarship amount will be transferred through NEFT/RTGS to the selected
students directly.
• Mark sheet of latest/last Annual Examination certificate by School to be enclosed
(compulsory)
• Recommendation letter of LO President (compulsory)
• President should mention in his letter if the nominated child is orphan or
differently able.
• If the student is recommendations by any JFP, JFF, JFS, RPP, JFJ then the specific
text box to be filled up in the form.
• For Income proof of student’s parent, please ensure that the information’s in the
text box named “CERTIFICATE FROM SCHOOL/COLLEGE/INSTITUTION” if fully
filled in the application form and signed by school authority.
• Genuine students list, received from LO President, along with all supporting
enclosures, shall be treated as authorized by LO President. List sent by anyone
other than LO President, shall not be considered.

8. NATIONAL FLAGSHIP PROGRAM :- ONE LO ONE SUSTAINABLE PROJECT:


FOCUS ON UNSDG FOR A BETTER WORLD(January – December)
FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES CAN BE EXECUTED AS PER THE CONVENIENT
SCHEDULE OF THE LOs WITHIN THE YEAR. LOs CAN EXECUTE
THESE PROGRAMS, AFTER IDENTIFYING THE MOST LOCAL NEED IN
THEIR SURROUNDING /LOCALITY /TOWN /CITY. LO must execute
these projects by following JCI Action Framework

Purpose and overview

• Each LO should execute a sustainable Project for the Sustainable development &
betterment of society. One sustainable project which will be solving one local
problem which remained unsolved for many years. LO can create its own
sustainable and long-term project, for the benefit of public at large in all cities.
• To identify and solve the local need/local problem, LO can form a project team,
have internal meetings, take a survey in the locality, design a project to solve the
challenging issues, can bring private/public sector officials together to find the
solutions and create PR.
• Few model projects have been suggested below. However, LO may pick or create
LO specific sustainable project which will solve the local challenges/need. Best
sustainable project with bigger impact, will be recognized at National level with
Sustainable Impact Fellow Certificate and UNSDG pin

• To have meaningful projects at local level to address the needs and to support
the local community in a SUSTAINABLE manner :-

STEP I –
To organize JCI Action Framework Training Program throughout the Local
Organizations of JCI India latest by March 2023.

To be coordinated by : National Director Program, National Director Training,


National Coordinator OLOSP, All the JCI Action Framework National Coordinators (
if any) , Program ZDs & Training ZDs of all 25 Zones.

STEP II –
To guide and motivate Local Organization members to adopt Sustainable Projects
that can have maximum Impact for the community and maximum PR for the
organization .

STEP III –
To execute the Project as per JCI Action Framework and report to NHQ, ND
Program & National Coordinator OLOSP respectively.

Suggested UNSDGs to be focused:


A. ADOPT SCHOOLS/STREET/COLONY/SLUM/PARKS
• Continue the same project for throughout the year to have a long-term
sustainable project.
• Programs that empower the people of the slum/schools/streets/colony/
Parks .

#6 – Clean Water & Sanitization
#8 – Livelihood & Brotherhood

• SALUTE TO SILENT WORKER : JANUARY- DECEMBER - Honor the unsung


heroes of their locality who were working for the society over the years
without any recognition. Suggested heroes may be honoured.

• NEED BLOOD CALL JCI : JAN TO OCTOBER / 14TH JUNE ON WORLD


BLOOD DONOR DAY Conduct blood donation camps in association with
blood bank/ other organizations/ other NGOs.

• OBSERVE INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY ON 21ST JUNE- Can be done in


public/schools/institutions

• DAAN - Local Organizations to donate food or food kits to the needy in the
community/locality. This supports UNSDG #1 & #2 too.

• ADOPT A CHILD FOR EDUCATION – Specific guideline to be circulated by ND

• Promotions for all above program to be done by LOs/ZP/ZD/ND/NC
